4 days left of the Spring semester and then Tanzania!!!!!!!!

Hello!
Yay we have a blog! Lets get a little rowdy for our trip woot woot!!!! God is super awesome and he has brought us sooooooo far!!!! I'm so excited!
Lets us not stop praying for eachother and for the trip and the people we will meet and all the things God has in store!!!!!

Our project takes place May 3rd - July 4th. Eleven team members comprised of students from Seminole Christian Life - a Christian student organization at Florida State University, will travel to Tanzania, Africa to share the love of God. As a physical expression of love toward the people in Tanzania, we are prepared to help them start a sustainable chicken farm benefiting Hananasif Orphanage, located in Mkuranga, Tanzania. We will build the physical building and provide 500 chickens for the initial stock, along with a year's worth of food and medicine for the farm as we work with the local staff members to provide a sustainable source of food and income for the orphanage.
This is a Tanzanian-initiated project which the orphanage knows will help them cover their operating costs while providing quality nutrition for the orphans indefinitely.

We would like to give a special thanks to our friends and family who have supported our journey every step of the way, the hundreds of FSU students who have sponsored a chicken, bought a shirt or a handmade messenger bag, TRUE Seminole for contributing to our project, The Center for Leadership and Civic Education's Serviceship Program for generously sponsoring Lee Gordon, and the Urban Planning Department for supporting April Roam and Galen Wood. Thanks to all of your support, this project is underway.
